Hi folks,
I'd like to retire the *.freesoftware.fsf.org entries from our nameservers.
These are the records:
;;
;; Non GNU Free Software hosting (ask address@hidden)
;;
freesoftware IN CNAME subversions-ssh.gnu.org.
fs IN CNAME www.gnu.org.
www.freesoftware IN CNAME www.gnu.org.
mail.freesoftware IN A 199.232.76.166
IN MX 10 mail.fsf.org.
IN MX 20 mx20.gnu.org.
bugs.freesoftware IN CNAME bugs.gnu.org.
cvs.freesoftware IN CNAME subversions.gnu.org.
ftp.freesoftware IN CNAME ftp.gnu.org.
test-mx20.freesoftware IN MX 0 mx20.gnu.org.
I'm not entirely sure if that comment really applies - if it does this has
all long been superceded by nongnu.org.
In the few places where I've found traces of freesoftware.fsf.org on our
servers, it seems largely unused (for instance,
http://mail.freesoftware.fsf.org hardly gets any hits, only a few crawlers.
Am I missing some really obvious important use for *.freesoftware.fsf.org, or
can I scrap it?
Thanks,
Ward.
