Full Name:

System Group Name:

  Official GNU software

  GNU General Public License V2 or later

  Conquer is a middle earth multi-player computer game in which each
player is the leader of a nation, composed of people (humans, orcs,
elves, dwarves), resources, and land. Several neat features are
supported, chiefly non player countries and magic powers.

Originally written by Edward M Barlow and posted in USENET at around 1987 and 1988

Original Source code:

-- Goals
Written in C, and based in curses, the goal is to adapt it to GNU and
compatible distributions.

Enhace it technically with better configuration support, and playability,
and future documentation being migrated to texinfo.

Publish it as Free Software and under GPL v2 or later conditions, and
be hosted in savannah after relicensing.

Other Comments:

I managed to contact the author recently who allowed me to relicense
the code under Free Software terms.

Parts of the code was enhaced in the past by Adam Bryant, who I couldn't

This files: navy.c, sort.c, and trade.c

and specially trade.c contains this notice:

/*conquer : Copyright (c) 1988 by Ed Barlow.*/
 * The following file "trade.c" was written by Adam Bryant who
 * gives all rights to this code to Ed Barlow provided that this
 *  message remains intact.

So my main concern, and I ask for advice is if could relicense *all* the code
to GPL v2 or later granted that I have the permission of Ed Barlow.
