In general, it is better to use the license notice as specified in the
license -- although the intent is clear, some peculiar legislations might
treat the package as not effectively licensed under this license (it appears
that this point is moot, but still it is better to be safe).  So for your
project that part would be:

| modify it under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public 
| License version as published by the Free Software Foundation,
