Kongoni is a 100% free GNU/Linux distribution based on slackware and portpkg.
The name kongoni is the Shona word for "Gnu" and represents it's orrigins as
an African GNU based operating system.

RMS has endorsed the project goals and we hope to see it come to full
fruition.

We do not intend to use savanah for disk-space/mirroring (unless specifically
approved) to spare the servers, but would like to make use of the version
control and mailinglist features.
