==== Description: ====
Guile-PG is a collection of modules for Guile allowing access to the
PostgreSQL RDBMS from Scheme programs.  Additionally, there are modules for
client-side query preparation, including a sexp mapping to SQL, and general
result mogrification.

It includes full texinfo documentation.

It was written and tested under Unofficial Guile:

(license GPLv3+ -- NB: NOT LGPL)

This dependency is the primary motivation for registering this project as
"non-GNU".  In the future, after some tweaks to make Guile-PG work with GNU
Guile, i will petition to move it to "official GNU" software.

The other dependency is libpq and the command-line program psql from
PostgreSQL DBMS (modified BSD license).

FYI, the source code repo is currently Git.  (Perhaps knowing this, you can
init a Git (rather than CVS) repo on savannah, saving both of us a few
minutes.)
