Follow-up Comment #3, task #12068 (project administration):

I looked over the files and found the following issues:

The license headers found in most copyrightable files lack the wording "or (at
your option) any later version". Please add this wording to avoid future
compatibility problems. You can keep the style in which the headers are
written. If you are interested how license headers are commonly written,
please see

Several files are missing copyright and license headers. These are
copyrightable files longer than 10 lines and include ./parse.c, ./parse.h,
./array.w, files in ./examples/, ./man/mawk.doc, files in ./msdos/examples/,
./package/mawk.spec and some files in ./package/debian/ and ./test/. You can
add the copyright notices and license headers in the style done in files that
already have them, but please do not forget the wording mentioned above.

There is a special case for the files ./ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, ./CHANGES,
./MANIFEST, ./README, ./man/TODO, ./msdos/README and ./msdos/NOTES. These are
also lacking copyright and license headers. Since these are auxiliary files,
you may choose to not release them under GPL v2 or later but rather under a
simple permissive license. If you want to do so, I recommend this wording:

Copying and distribution of this file, with or without modification,
are permitted in any medium without royalty provided the copyright
notice and this notice are preserved. This file is offered as-is,
without warranty of any kind.

In either case, don't forget the copyright notices in all these files. You can
write them in the style done in the other files. If you want to learn more
about copyright notices please read

Best regards.
