I hope we can open this up to discussion.  This may be more than a
historical issue.  I like the github model --- I use it --- however I'd
like to see a compelling case for using it on Savannah.  Github has
mainly a social appeal, whereas Savannah has more of a "repository"
feeling, i.e. this is where you go to get GNU software and software with
similar-minded developers to the GNU Project.

What do you think?
