Thanks for your reply.
I've built screen from source via: git clone
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/git/screen.git on an ArchLinux vm.
The buffer overflow does not happen when executing screen -S Radio -X -r
hardcopy test.txt with this build and test.txt is readable, so it is probably
an ArchLinux issue.
