Most likely the terminfo/termcap description for kP for your terminal is
wrong.
Outside of screen:
- What is the value of $TERM
- What is the output of the "infocmp" command
- What characters do you see when you run the "cat" command and hit
the`pgup' key?
Inside of screen:
- Same question about hitting the `pgup' key in the "cat" command.
