Presumably either the Terminal application specifies a different
terminal to emulate or the terminfo details for that terminal have
changed.

IMO its better to have this specified at the .screenrc level anyway,
because now it will work as you wish regardless of what terminal is in
use (assuming its name matches "xterm*" -- which you could generalize to
"*").
