No sed test failures on the following:
  Darwin 16.7.0 (x86_64)
  Debian 8.1 (x86_64)
  Debian 8.10 (i686)
  Debian 8.9 (mips64)
  Debian unstable (sparc64)
  FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE (amd64)
  FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE-p1 (amd64)
  FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p7 (amd64)
  GNU Hurd 0.7 (i686-AT386)

  OpenBSD 5.9 (amd64)
  OpenBSD 6.0 (amd64)
  OpenBSD 6.1 (amd64)
  OpenBSD 6.2 (amd64)

  Oracle SunOS 5.11 (sun4u)
  SUSE LINUX 42.1 (x86_64)
  Trisquel 7.0 (x86_64)
  Ubuntu 14.04 (aarch64)
  Ubuntu 15.04 (i686)
  Ubuntu 15.04 (x86_64)
  Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64)
  Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64,CC=clang-3.8)
  Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64,CC=clang-4.0)
  Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64,CC=clang-5.0)

  Ubuntu 16.04 (x86_64,CC=tcc)
  openSUSE project 13.2 (x86_64)
  Alpine Linux 3.6.2 (x86_64)

Gnulib's "test-localename" still fails on
OpenBSD 6.2, AIX 7.2, Alpine Linux (with musl libc).

I've now tested on more systems, and there's a new failure
on Fedora 25 and Centos 7.0: 'testsuite/inplace-selinux' (log attached).
These are the only two OSes that I have that have SELinux turned
on by default, and I'm not that familiar with SELinux.

On system without SELinux this test is skipped,
and Jakub (who submitted the original patch) confirmed
it works on his SELinux system
( ).

However, perhaps it needs a bit more testing on RedHat-type systems
with default SELinux configuration?
