compiler flags. the fact that i'll install and uninstall properly. you
could use the prebuilt packages too.

OK, well, if you get a spare box to mess with, installing ocaml and db4 as
packages will be really easy. you will need to make a couple of little
source tweaks to use db4.2 from ports, but nothing serious (a few things
changed since db4.1).
