Again, just so we're clear, I find the LPC sped up one to be much less
understandable.
Take care,
Sina

Success! I sped up a voice I already know how to listen to a high
speed: voxin. The sped up version sounds pretty good, even better than the
high speed version that I simply encoded and decoded.
I've attached three files. test_fast.wav is generated the way I generate
e-books to listen to, at speed 113. test_fast_out.wav is
how it sounds after running it through the LPC encoder, and then the LPC
decoder. It's pretty bad, but I can work on making that
better by enchancing the encoder/decoder. The last file, test_sped_up.wav, was
created by running voxin at default speed, and then
using LPC to speed it up by a factor of 3.17, which is equivalent to running
voxin with speed 113.
What I conclude from this is that we can in fact speed up voices with this
method, resulting in decent high speed speech. I hope to
be able to try applying it to espeak tomorrow.

I've also attached the the C source code, for any hackers out there.
