CVS Still Broken

I still have a broken autoconf when configuring Speech Dispatcher
after just now doing a 'cvs update'.  It is a syntax error around
sndfile.  I don't know what libsndfile is but between the syntax error
and reference on the next line about a version of libsndfile, I'm even
more clueless about all this.

Who can I send a patch of the generic.c to to get the punct level
stuff into Speech Dispatcher? I've about given up on autoconf for SD;
just can't get past the syntax error.  recall the syntax error is in
autoconf during the ./configure step.  As far as I can tell, my
changes to generic.c compile fine.  That is, I can compile it
stand-alone with the cc command.

Any more ideas?
