When I do a ./configure, make and 'make install', I notice a bug with
the python components. The Makefile in the src/python directory some
how ignores the value of $prefix. I tried changing $(prefix) to
${prefix} but still, the value always comes up blank. the consequence
of this bug is the speech-dispatcher python components get installed
in /lib/python2.5/site-packages/speechd/... instead of
/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/speechd/... I don't know if this is a
real show stopper or not but it is not going in what I believe to be
the right place. I am using --prefix=/usr so I can create a Slackware
package binary.
Am I missing something or is there a bug some place?
