IBMTTS not working with speech-dispatcher

Hello, I am using intrepid and have installed speech-dispatcher.
However, the ibmtts module is not working. I am pasting below some
lines from the log file.

abnormally, probably crashed.
[Thu Nov 13 06:16:54 2008 : 760113] speechd: ERROR: Can't initialize
audio in output module, see reason above.
[Thu Nov 13 06:16:54 2008 : 760149] speechd:   Couldn't load specified
output module
