I tested this problem with speech-dispatcher 0.6.7-4 and Espeak 1.41.09
version with my Debian Squeeze system.
First, I sayed this string with spd-say:
2. tam?s
After this, I look the .speech-dispatcher/log/espeak.log file, and I see
this interesting part (excuse me, this quoted part is very long because
now I don't known what the important part with this situation):
I think the 4. and 5. quoted line is interesting, but I am not sure:

If have newer development version with possible already fixed this
feature and need testing this feature, I do welcome.
If need, I sending the full log file, but now not want sending the log
file with list, because I don't known you like this or not.
Because my Debian Squeeze system I see some "invalid rate plugin"
message with log file but my Ubuntu Jaunty not producing this message,
if need, I test this problem with my Ubuntu system and after this I send
another clean log file.
