Hi,
I took a look at the alsa code, the first thing that stuck out at me was that
although alsa_play is block it does a lot of work to use non blocking functions
in alsa-lib. Is there a good reason for this? If not I'll see if changing
this atleast makes it simpler and hopefully gets rid of the bug.
