Yes. Sonic should be integrated into Speech Dispatcher as an emulation
plugin, but it must not by default override the behavior of TTS systems
whose authors cooperate with us closely (eSpeak, Festival). The
proper approach in these cases is to talk with the people responsible
for the TTS and let them consider whether to include it.
Anyway, it looks like great work, so please go on! Did you talk with
Jonathan Duddington about eSpeak integration?
