Personally, I don't like DONT_DO_THAT directives, they always can be
converted to DO_SOMETHING, e.g.
ModuleAutodetection={enable|disable}
AddModule={name|all|none}

then probably, your proposal with ModuleAutodetection {enable|disable}
is more suitable
