Hello,

Now in git master the voices listed in config files relying on the
generic module, like e.g. espeak-ng-mbrola-generic.conf are displayed in
spd-say -o espeak-ng-mbrola-generic -o -L
and also under Voices/person in Orca preferences.

But most users do not install all mbrola voices, so is we let the config
file as-is voices will be displayed that are actually not available.

It seems complicated to check in module_utils_addvoice.c the
availability of each voice listed in the config file, because the paths
to the voice files are not the same for all synthesizers.

Another possibility would be to comment out by default all lines
beginning with AddVoice in the config file.
Then when installing a voice the packager of that voice could in the
associated post-install script edit the relevant config file to
uncomment the relevant line.

Or the user could be instructed to do it manually.

What do you think?

Didier
