You may want to consider whether you want to keep the espeak specific pitch
range API additions.
I added them to git master way back not long after I took over speechd
maintenance. However subsequently thought that the synthesizer specific
settings API,
previously discussed, would be a cleaner solution for such synthesizer specific
settings. I decided to leave them in, because I thought I would get to the
synth specific functionality before releasing 0.9.
