consider editing config file RHVoice.ini it's location depends from how you built and installed RHVoice. try /usr/local/etc/RHVoice/RHVoice.conf or something like that. for docs view: https://github.com/RHVoice/RHVoice/wiki/Configuration-file this file allows to flexably customize rate settings.also I recommend to switch sound quality to minimum, I don't know why but it helps to impruve it.
