Swarm and windows

Hi,
I am an italian Phd student in S.Anna School of advanced studies in Pisa, 
having professor G.Dosi as supervisor.
I am implementing a model of technology diffusion using Swarm with the 
help of a computer science gratuted student.
We have a problem: our version of Swarm 2.1.1 installed by original CDrom 
does not work with Windows 95.
We installed the program starting by the file menu.exe in the directory 
bin of the Swarm CD-Rom at the end of the installation the opened the 
terminal and no command was accepted a part of exit.
Can you help us?
