Pauljohn,
    I agree a real Swarm programmer needs to learn Objective-C, etc. The
goal of the binary distribution is just to make the learning curve
easier to climb, instead of making the first few steps so discouragingly
difficult.  Learning to configure tcl/tk/blt/gcc is more a sysadmin job
than a programmer job.  If the process made you a better Swarm
programmer, it might be worth it.  But once you get it done, you've
learned nothing.

    So let's agree to differ.
