ActivityControl --> Segfault

I found the description of ActivityContol as a replacement for Control
Panel functionality in the SwarmDocs and tried to use it in my
application. Using the AC's terminate button causes a seg fault.  

I found the same is true in Mousetrap's usage of AC.    Here is a
