Have you try the document called _Repast How Tos_?

To program your first simulation within an hour, read "How to Build a
Model - 1" and "How to Create a Display."

http://repast.sourceforge.net/docs/how_to/how_to.html

(The document exists in PDF format, check the home page at
http://repast.sourceforge.net/).

Besides, you have a demo program called "HeatBugs" that is the translation
of the Swarm HeatBugs model into Repast.

In addition, the mailing list is very responsive and Repast is REALLY easy
to installed and setup on any Java machines.

Subject: Compare Swarm with Repast

Dear swarm modelers,

Just had a browse at Repast Web site... I am wondering if anyone has done
some serious comparison between Swarm and Repast. It seems that Repast
offers features almost just as good as Swarm, apart from its advantages of
being built upon Java. Can anyone tell any pitfall before I consider to
jump in the boat?

It seems to me that Repast lacks of good tutorials and application examples
for beginners to follow... I cannot find anything like the simpleBug to
ExperBug that kind of examples, which I think is very helpful in Swarm.

Comments are appreciated.
