I've not seen those notes, but these comments are harmless.

The compilation exited with no additonal errors, so I did make

These look like the errors I have been getting from "make check" lately 
and I think I don't quite understand why you would get them with make 
install.

If you let all that grind to a halt, try make install again and see if 
it does it again.
