I installed swarm 2.2 java on Windows XP  from http://www.swarm.org/wiki/Swarm:_stable_release#Packaged_.28binary.29_distributions_.282.2.29

using one of these files.

http://ftp.swarm.org/pub/swarm/binaries/w32/Swarm-2.2-java.tar.gz  or

http://ftp.swarm.org/pub/swarm/binaries/w32/Swarm-2.2-java.zip

After unzipping this file the \Swarm-2.2-java\bin directory contains 8 .dll files, but no javacswarm or javaswarm executable files do exist.

So I am curious where you downloaded your Java for windows XP version which contain these files.

Because javacswarm and javaswarm are in the directory of 
Swarm-2.2\bin, the PATH in the environment settings should be set to 
Swarm-2.2\bin(i.e. C:\Swarm-2.2\bin). Javacswarm and javaswarm can run 
now.
