I get this with 0.45pre5 (didn't check pre4) on RH9:
rpackagelister.cc:1156: prototype for `bool
RPackageLister::getStateChanges(pkgDepCache::State&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, bool)' does not match any in class `
RPackageLister'
rpackagelister.h:268: candidate is: bool
RPackageLister::getStateChanges(pkgDepCache::State&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, std::vector<RPackage*,
std::allocator<RPackage*> >&, bool = true)
make[2]: *** [rpackagelister.o] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/ftp/linox/rpmbuild/BUILD/synaptic-0.45'
make: *** [all] Error 2
Don't have time to look closer/fix today I'm afraid but the offending bit is
toDowngrade stuff in rpm version of RPackageLister::getStateChanges()
which seems to have moved around between pre3 and pre4.
(no comment on the feature yet since I'm yet to see it :)
