Details:
This is only a suggestion and I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement
or achieve. I have a problem where when I'm travelling that I don't always
have internet access available. Sometimes I realise that I have forgotten to
install a package (using Ubuntu currently) and it would be great to be able to
queue the installs upgrades offline and download them the next time I'm
online.
For example I could see it working like this:
1. Run Synaptic
2. Choose the packages to install / upgrade
3. Instead of hitting apply, have an "Offline" button that saves the current
requests to a file.
4. When online next, have the option to open an offline file.
5. This will then load up what you required to be downloaded and start.
Would this be a good idea to implement?
