[Synaptic-devel] what happen to synaptic new release

Hi all,

Does anyone know what happened to synaptic new release?
In debian or ubuntu, there are several new releases like
synaptic-0.57.10 (for sid). But there are no visible new
release for outside of debian/ubuntu. And also, the newer
version of synaptic 0.57.10 does not compile with apt-rpm.

Does synaptic come back to here for outside of debian?

p.s.
I know ubuntu is nice distro and ubuntu guys would be quit
busy to release it..
