    change the XML perl module name to TexinfoXML, that would make sense.

Ok.

    And also the format could be called 'texinfoxml' instead of simply
    'xml' (the format name is seldom used, though).

Since we're not going to change the command line option, not to mention
all the documentation, I think leaving the format name as "xml" is better.
