[Texmacs-dev] 1.0.2.8 issues under cygwin

for me 1.0.2.5 was the latest version I got running under cygwin:

1. the newest 3.3.* gcc does not work, it is necessary to downgrade to 
3.2.*.

2. version 1.0.2.8: on startup freezes after

TeXmacs] With linked TrueType support

so I did a 

make distclean
./configure --with-freetype=no

however, now texmacs freezes one step before:

TeXmacs] Loading ecrm11 at 300 dpi

so it seems it's not the truetype problem. some resolutions I don't know 
about?
