Hi all,

It's nice to see the movement in the list again. For work reasons I'm
away of TeXmacs at this moment (I'm using a MS Office compatible
solution for the inherited previos documents), but TeXmacs is my loved
word processor on esteroids, so its nice to see the movement in this
list again.

The latest one is nice. With which software have you made it? Inkscape?

That's the one :)

I like the logo without the TeXmacs Word. I think that also, the name
come with some confusion for some people (specially those with
background in TEX or Emacs).

[...]

I think these misunderstandings are tied in to the name TeXmacs (even
though they are a bit emphasized in <TeX|macs> because of the | in
between). A name-change might help, though I don't think it worth the
effort. David Allouch once proposed StXlus (I think) as an alternative
name.

About this regard, I remember the Tekmax name also wich has the
advantage that keeps the pronunciation but leaves away the Typographical
similarities that produce the misunderstood.

In this regard, I prefer Johann logos: close link to typography and
geek-neutral.

True, the step from <|> to typography is a bit larger than from "Sigma"
to typography.

Well, I like the "<|>" logo more that the typographic ones, because
being neutral typographically doesnt have the name confusion asociated
with it.

Cheers,

Offray
