Unfortunately, when I start TeXmacs, I get

Is this a known problem?

Under Windows you have to erase the line

    (debug-set! stack 1000000)

in TeXmacs/progs/kernel/boot/compat.scm.

That's a bit confusing as the documentation on the website says the opposite ("Uncomment the line...").

I commented out the line and tried again. Now I'm getting

$ texmacs

TeXmacs] With linked TrueType support

Then the Texmacs window shows up without any controls, and then an "Assertion failed" message pops up, with

Program: ...\texmacs\src\TeXmacs\bin\texmacs.bin"
File: ./System/Language/math_language.cpp
Line: 224

Expression: false

I cannot believe it's so hard to get the development system set up. I've run into many other problems, for example the packaging (make WIN_BUNDLE) doesn't work under MingW. Maybe someone could just provide me with the whole zipped MinGW/msys folders of a working system?

Best regards,
  Jan
