No, I did not know about this "standard".

If we have to extend our format, then I am more interested to be
compatible with XML-based formats used by editors. We just met
some people from Elsevier, who were actually quite interested by TeXmacs.
It turns out that LaTeX is as much a pain for them as for us.
They really seem to use XML for their typesetting process;
LaTeX papers are completely reworked so as to be put in XML.
I will soon get a confirmation, but I think that they use
the following DTD:

I will meet them again at Amsterdam in september. It would be
nice if we could work out an export for this DTD in the meantime.
