I was under the impression that because we don't want lists live gvc
to be mailing lists that anyone can subscribe to it might be best to
not use mailman to maintain them. I know that I find using emacs to
edit the alias file to be more convinient than interacting with
mailing list management software.
One of the reasons for using mailman was it's web gateway which would
allow people to browse the archives ala Debian. (IIRC)
