"huffman coding"

Was wondering if anyone could provide some help/clues to a prolog
assignment I have to do for school. is the assignment. I'm new to
prolog but know a fair amount of C. The syntax and logic of the PROLOG
programming is beyond me at this point and I really have no desire to
learn prolog programming. If anyone can tell me how to get started, I'd
appreciate it. Thanks.
