Great news .. works well for me too.

I think we need to get a release out to the world and see what
interest there is. The thing that can most help VM is users, and
hopefully a few contributors.

I created a 8.3.0 milestone to track things that
need to be done for a release.

If anyone feels there are any issues that need to be handled in
the release, please add them to the milestone.  While there are
many thing that needed to be addressed, my opinion is that only
critical bugs should whole up the release.

I also created a release process wiki page.  I have never
released an emacs package, so I don't really know everything
involved.  Please fell free to add required steps:
