Here it goes for me..
Languages:
C,Java,C++,Intel-assembly,Perl,VB,javascript..
Databases
Postgres,DB2
Network simulation tools:
ns2
Environments:
windows,linux
Some earlier projects which can be related to this one:
I developed one file system based on postgres database (similar to the
inversion file system!) and played with adaptive indexing and data layout to
optimise the performance..
Worked on a peer to peer networking class project with idea to have high
reliability supernodes spread between ordinary nodes..
Recently, I developed a javascript engine which emits the code in CIL (from
MS .Net) and then it runs in MS-CLR.
As I have just (9 months back) graduated (with MS) from school I guess I may
be lagging in the practical experience ..but I feel my knowledge of the
previous related work
(may be it tapestry, gnutella in ptop or autoraid's reliable file system or
mariposa's bidding idea for distributive work) can be helpful to the team..
So chris over the weekend I will play with the Goldwater..If you can put the
"how-to use" document then that would be great..
I guess once we are on the same page we can start distributing
responsibilities and organise the work in modules..
