Details:

Under gnu/screen with $TERM set to screen-256color-bce weechat crashes with
the following messages:

*** Very bad! WeeChat has crashed (SIGSEGV received)
*** Full crash dump was saved to /home/gavron/.weechat/weechat.log file
*** Please send this file to WeeChat developers.
*** (be careful, private info may be in this file since
*** part of chats are displayed, so remove lines if needed)

Aborted

gnu/screen is running on top of xterm configured with 256 colors.

$ xterm -version
XFree86 4.2.99.903(174)

gnu/screen is at version 4.00.02

The weechat I am running was very generously provided a .deb file by one of
the admins on irc (ptitlouis) and weechat-curses -v tells me it is the 0.1.8
version.

Here is the output of ldd:

 libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x4002a000)
        libncursesw.so.5 => /usr/lib/libncursesw.so.5 (0x4002d000)
        libgnutls.so.11 => /usr/lib/libgnutls.so.11 (0x40073000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x400da000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)
        libtasn1.so.2 => /usr/lib/libtasn1.so.2 (0x4020d000)
        libgcrypt.so.11 => /usr/lib/libgcrypt.so.11 (0x4021d000)
        libgpg-error.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgpg-error.so.0 (0x4026a000)
        libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x4026e000)
        libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0x40280000)

This may be just a case of the ncurses library not being compatible with my
setup but I haven't been able to verify this speculation since I am not
familiar with linux debugging technique.

Pleas contact me if you feel this is worth investigating and need more
information regarding this problem.

Thanks.
