Is there a specific reason for these changes? We unconditionally disable these
warnings since they get triggered in multiple places in the our codebase and is
something that we do not intend to fix. Unused macros and not initializing some
struct fields are okay in many cases.
Do these switches cause some version of the compiler to break somewhere?
