URIs beginning with "javascript:" are an old Flash hack used to call javascript functions in the web browser. There's no exception or any other error in Gnash. It sounds like a normal Flash getURL call. From what Chris said, I'd guess it's being directed through the XFCE shell (see urlOpenerFormat in the gnashrc file, default xdg-open), and XFCE doesn't know how to handle it. bwy --=20 Use Gnash, the GNU Flash Player! http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ Benjamin Wolsey, Software Developer - http://benjaminwolsey.de C++ and Open-Source Flash blog - http://www.benjaminwolsey.de/bwysblog xmpp:bwy@xabber.de http://identi.ca/bwy --=-yqoNaax9yddNBfpH7jhm Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAk8GtZgACgkQaH5YHtJ7djabgACfSWIHfF7AGs7Vl+fGszN0uvbW v7oAoKWCy+byIb82rcTfifBjm8B9BLoD =Bfff -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-yqoNaax9yddNBfpH7jhm-- From MAILER-DAEMON Fri Jan 06 07:35:31 2012 Received: from list by lists.gnu.org with archive (Exim 4.71) id 1Rj919-0001vo-5q for mharc-gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 06 Jan 2012 07:35:31 -0500 Received: from eggs.gnu.org ([140.186.70.92]:46973) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1Rj916-0001vZ-G8 for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 06 Jan 2012 07:35:29 -0500 Received: from Debian-exim by eggs.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1Rj915-00088s-59 for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 06 Jan 2012 07:35:28 -0500 Received: from smtp4-g21.free.fr ([212.27.42.4]:37138) by eggs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1Rj914-00088S-FW for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 06 Jan 2012 07:35:27 -0500 Received: from [192.168.0.40] (unknown [81.57.180.111]) by smtp4-g21.free.fr (Postfix) with ESMTP id DBD1D4C82E1; Fri, 6 Jan 2012 13:35:18 +0100 (CET) Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v1251.1) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 From: David Scravaglieri In-Reply-To: <1325839767.1841.6.camel@franz> Date: Fri, 6 Jan 2012 13:35:19 +0100 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message-Id: <90EE28DC-1CD6-451A-8B3D-7C24AA4EFCF6@scravaglieri.net> References: <4F04E477.9050008@scravaglieri.net> <2C560511-7FA0-4D63-8E3A-246FD6A13CE3@scravaglieri.net> <1325839767.1841.6.camel@franz> To: gnash-dev@gnu.org X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.1251.1) X-detected-operating-system: by eggs.gnu.org: GNU/Linux 2.6 (newer, 3) X-Received-From: 212.27.42.4 Cc: Benjamin Wolsey Subject: Re: [Gnash-dev] Bad URI-scheme X-BeenThere: gnash-dev@gnu.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: For Gnash developers List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 06 Jan 2012 12:35:29 -0000 Thank you Benjamin, In fact, there are methods in ASHandlers.cpp that handles action script, = one of those methods is ActionGetUrl. Since the Spring semester hasn't started yet, I'm taking the opportunity to look at organizations that were accepted into Google Summer of Code last year, so I can prepare for it this year and have a good project proposal ready. Gnash interests me because I'm interested infree software, rendering, and embedded systems. I'm interested in doing the "make FLVParser a push parser and remove internal threading" project, assuming it hasn't been done. What does that mean anyways? I assume it means that FLVParser fires off events to the main thread as it parses the FLV. I'm also interested in doing a project based off the List of Tasks. Here are some potential projects I've thought of: Implement hardware acceleration using OpenVG 1.1 Implement hardware acceleration using OpenGL ES 2.0 Various CPU rendering performance improvements Implement AS2.0 RTMP media streaming Which of these projects are you most interested in having completed? Basically the difference is a pull parser grabs a video frame to render, and a push parser render a video frame when it's available. The pull style requires polling which can become a performance issue. > Implement hardware acceleration using OpenVG 1.1 > Implement hardware acceleration using OpenGL ES 2.0 As the developer that added OpenVG support, I'd love to see somebody pick this up and add more capabilities to it. I'd also like to see GLES2 support, as that's what most mobile devices are using these days, and even the desktop is going that way. I have GLES2 stubs in a branch you could use to start with. - rob - From MAILER-DAEMON Tue Jan 17 16:35:55 2012 Received: from list by lists.gnu.org with archive (Exim 4.71) id 1RnGh9-0002p6-Cd for mharc-gnash-dev@gnu.org; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 16:35:55 -0500 Received: from eggs.gnu.org ([140.186.70.92]:39314) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RnGh5-0002fN-Ni for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 16:35:52 -0500 Received: from Debian-exim by eggs.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RnGh4-00082i-8G for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 16:35:51 -0500 Received: from mail-ey0-f169.google.com ([209.85.215.169]:42433) by eggs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RnGh3-00082T-UB for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 16:35:50 -0500 Received: by eaan1 with SMTP id n1so1558152eaa.0 for ; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 13:35:48 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=sender:date:from:to:subject:message-id:mail-followup-to :mime-version:content-type:content-disposition:user-agent; bh=M7a2Z8L+3P9Qj0O8+lxEfU32yWWvX7MNcks2SZr6eTQ=; b=H9IUPLn6I2/HiCwvSAXxPRxVEbFknuUbOn52DyDLiZHZ034dZy/Ak+/AlY3jHyHr1d dIJXFRxmoA1/ujpA0oo3LNcyweaT7h24vDHeVxC6D7uESjguipeeHjYTWIp3i4D3B2IY tiUv7PoBh+09qOBziqkIiLv14G/NKD/BKvfDg= Received: by 10.213.113.20 with SMTP id y20mr4624893ebp.34.1326836148580; Tue, 17 Jan 2012 13:35:48 -0800 (PST) Received: from gnash ([80.67.115.202]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id t59sm90971899eeh.10.2012.01.17.13.35.46 (version=SSLv3 cipher=OTHER); Tue, 17 Jan 2012 13:35:47 -0800 (PST) Sender: Sandro Santilli Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2012 22:35:44 +0100 From: Sandro Santilli To: gnash-dev@gnu.org Message-ID: <20120117213544.GE14929@gnash> Mail-Followup-To: gnash-dev@gnu.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.20 (2009-06-14) X-detected-operating-system: by eggs.gnu.org: GNU/Linux 2.6 (newer, 2) X-Received-From: 209.85.215.169 Subject: [Gnash-dev] fb-gnash ? Since master is stable (nobody else appears to be working on anything), my plan is to make the release branch the same as master except for changing the version number in a few places. There seems to be little need for a code freeze. Anyway, before making a release branch, I figured I'd see if there was anything to wait for. Yes, I've looked through the bug reports. I updated rpms and debs with a snapshot from master (as of yesterday) in our repository at http://www.getgnash.org/packages/. It would be helpful if a few people could install these for some real world testing before finalizing a release branch. - rob - From MAILER-DAEMON Fri Jan 20 15:51:43 2012 Received: from list by lists.gnu.org with archive (Exim 4.71) id 1RoLR1-00088k-MC for mharc-gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 15:51:43 -0500 Received: from eggs.gnu.org ([140.186.70.92]:56166) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RoLQy-00088Q-PO for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 15:51:41 -0500 Received: from Debian-exim by eggs.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RoLQx-0002pk-D9 for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 15:51:40 -0500 Received: from culebra.planetmind.net ([65.183.81.70]:35550) by eggs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1RoLQx-0002pQ-9R for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 15:51:39 -0500 Received: from apache by culebra.planetmind.net with local (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1RoLQu-0005xM-DP for gnash-dev@gnu.org; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 13:51:36 -0700 Received: from 67-41-147-45.hlrn.qwest.net (67-41-147-45.hlrn.qwest.net [67.41.147.45]) by culebra.planetmind.net (Horde Framework) with HTTP; Fri, 20 Jan 2012 13:51:36 -0700 Message-ID: <20120120135136.13112wm4bqocfem8@culebra.planetmind.net> X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Date: Fri, 20 Jan 2012 13:51:36 -0700 From: Christopher Brunning To: gnash-dev@gnu.org References: <4F19A081.9050802@welcomehome.org> In-Reply-To: <4F19A081.9050802@welcomehome.org> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; DelSp="Yes"; format="flowed" Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit User-Agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) H3 (4.3.11-cvs) X-detected-operating-system: by eggs.gnu.org: GNU/Linux 2.6 (newer, 3) X-Received-From: 65.183.81.70 Subject: Re: [Gnash-dev] release sometime soon ?
