The standard PostScript Symbol font doesn't have a bold or italic version, so first you have to find a Type1 Greek font that has the variations you need. Is there a page somewhere that references 8859-x fonts that are known to work well with Lout? -- Eric Radman | http://eradman.com From efraim.yawitz@gmail.com Sun Nov 23 04:42:29 2008 Return-Path: X-Original-To: lout-users@wapanafa.org Delivered-To: lout-users@wapanafa.org Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.wapanafa.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 096E463 for ; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 04:42:29 -0500 (EST) X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at wapanafa.org Received: from mail.wapanafa.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (mail.wapanafa.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id wLdkCyp+SCAs for ; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 04:42:27 -0500 (EST) Received: from rv-out-0708.google.com (rv-out-0708.google.com [209.85.198.246]) by mail.wapanafa.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8626A52 for ; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 04:42:07 -0500 (EST) Received: by rv-out-0708.google.com with SMTP id k29so1655609rvb.4 for ; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 01:42:06 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:to :subject:mime-version:content-type:content-transfer-encoding :content-disposition; bh=XTMssCQwKKD6WWUJVCZu26XIMTJSF4WHr7HaRDPDb8s=; b=sTUdCNM7A13cDrpNRX/x9a0zfm/Jn6G9NPr+StjFhRXoCY+ZvEkwFrHdAyZA6DKZW0 TcVPZM7rwDZ9quyvDgq2gSsOD96DyFMVkqf3xK1xSn9NhJhE725QSFAWlNRRzg3K5Fxk grnI499prazF2iAwNH6FHHnzdjvw632GvOow0= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=message-id:date:from:to:subject:mime-version:content-type :content-transfer-encoding:content-disposition; b=mCxK+idpiJnSnmLWAMXO7ZCvlv1I/02H6mJLw/qbocDeumx0qlX2ZQqNSt0fQS1h/z z/F3iG47DsCMrnQrBzZFDUr9im19qN0iGtjRUiBnkt8X6g3NsdE9PwECdqH92TdpCI5X kArpzDUQzXoA6sLIas0mWEH7m009cgxIF1DuQ= Received: by 10.141.153.17 with SMTP id f17mr1258079rvo.99.1227433326294; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 01:42:06 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.141.164.7 with HTTP; Sun, 23 Nov 2008 01:42:06 -0800 (PST) Message-ID: <716cf4cb0811230142k656a7426h79fe24182d237ab8@mail.gmail.com> Date: Sun, 23 Nov 2008 11:42:06 +0200 From: "Efraim Yawitz" To: lout-users@lists.planix.com Subject: environments MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline X-BeenThere: lout-users@lists.planix.com X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.10 Precedence: list List-Id: "A mailing list for the Lout Document Formatting System users community." Is this something which can be > used, and how? You might want to look in the Expert's Guide at how font settings are handled, for example, as well as `@SetContext' which is essentially a generalization of this mechanism (it uses the `CONTEXT' struct in the C code, which is part of the `STYLE' struct; the latter provides font settings and the likes). This CONTEXT/STYLE mechanism is akin to "fluids" or "SRFI-39 parameters" in Scheme or similar Lispy languages (aka. "dynamically-scoped variables"). Hope this helps, Ludo'.
