SwarmFest is the annual agent-based modeling conference sponsored by Swarm Development Group, held this year at the University of Notre Dame, 23-24 June. Please see the conference web site: http://www.nd.edu/~swarm06/index.html The deadline to reserve lodging is very soon: *May 20* And: registration after May 20 costs an additional $50 We are planning tutorial classes in Repast, NetLogo, and Swarm. Signup for these are included in the registration process. Abstracts for presentations and posters are due by June 1 If you need an abstract approved for presentation earlier (to get travel authorization, etc.) please submit it early and request early notification. Information on submitting abstracts is in the Call for Papers: http://www.nd.edu/~swarm06/NewCFP/newcfp.html If you have any questions, please email them to: Swarmfest2006@swarm.org --Swarm Development Group _______________________________________________ Announce mailing list Announce@swarm.org http://www.swarm.org/mailman/listinfo/announce From announce-bounces@swarm.org Tue May 30 11:34:46 2006 Received: from cscs01.cscs.lsa.umich.edu (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by cscs01.cscs.lsa.umich.edu (8.12.11.20060308/8.12.11) with ESMTP id k4UFXoaf002102; Tue, 30 May 2006 11:34:40 -0400 Received: from humboldt1.com (exthelm-1.humboldt1.com [206.13.45.11]) by cscs01.cscs.lsa.umich.edu (8.12.11.20060308/8.12.11) with ESMTP id k4UFXmER002081 for ; Tue, 30 May 2006 11:33:48 -0400 Received: from [192.168.11.3] (69-12-249-235.dsl.dynamic.humboldt1.com [69.12.249.235]) by humboldt1.com (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id k4UFXZeS013611 for ; Tue, 30 May 2006 08:33:40 -0700 Message-ID: <447C6682.5010702@northcoast.com> Date: Tue, 30 May 2006 08:36:34 -0700 From: Steve Railsback User-Agent: Thunderbird 1.5.0.2 (Windows/20060308) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: announce@swarm.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-BeenThere: announce@swarm.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Sender: announce-bounces@swarm.org Errors-To: announce-bounces@swarm.org Cc: Subject: [Swarm-GIS] [Swarm Announce] Reminder: SwarmFest abstracts due 1 June X-BeenThere: gis@swarm.org Reply-To: Swarm GIS List-Id: Swarm GIS List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 30 May 2006 15:34:46 -0000 Reminder: Abstracts for presentations at SwarmFest are due 1 June, this Thursday! Please submit abstracts as soon as possible so the organizing committee has time to organize! Details are below. For additional information, see: http://www.nd.edu/~swarm06/index.html Thanks, The SwarmFest committee Two kinds of presentations are solicited: oral presentations (20-30 minutes) and posters. Appropriate topics include research conducted with agent-based models, development of theory for/with ABMs, demonstrations of interesting models and modeling techniques, software platforms, and programming techniques. We encourage presentation of work that is new or unusual enough to make publication in traditional outlets difficult. To request an oral or poster presentation, submit an abstract via email to Swarmfest2006@swarm.org. Acceptable formats are PDF, plain text, and Word. The submittal should include the authors and their affiliations, contact information (address, telephone, and email), the title, preferred format (oral vs. poster), and the abstract text. _______________________________________________ Announce mailing list Announce@swarm.org http://www.swarm.org/mailman/listinfo/announce
