The GNU Astronomy Utilities (Gnuastro) is an official GNU package consisting of various programs and library functions (in C and C++) for the manipulation and analysis of astronomical data. All the programs share the same basic command-line user interface for the comfort of both the users and developers. Gnuastro is written to comply fully with the GNU coding standards so it integrates finely with the GNU/Linux operating system. This also enables astronomers to expect a fully familiar experience in the source code, building, installing and command-line user interaction that they have seen in all the other GNU software that they use. This mailing list is dedicated to Gnuastro's development discussions which are done on the Bugs and Task trackers of Gnuastro's project management hub at Savannah. Direct posting to this list is not recommended, please use the support, bugs and tasks issue trackers there to join the discussion. All the comments posted there will be automatically sent to this mailing list for circulation and secondary archiving (besides Savannah). For more on the Gnuastro project wepbage on Savannah, please see the respective section in the Gnuastro manual. There is also a full Developing chapter which should be a good starting point if you are interested in joining us expand this exciting project. Subscribing to Gnuastro-devel
Subscribe to Gnuastro-devel by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
