Ok, I changed installation again, site-start.d should now get
autodetected in standard setups (which probably don't include Debian),
and options have become more logical. The relative stuff is mostly
irrelevant now; it gets figured out mostly automatically.
This should be more or less the state of aclocal.m4 that we can,
without too much pain, use in AUCTeX as well.
