Little complement (hoping this helps): AFACS, algorithm.sty is only for
providing an 'algorithm' type of float (inside which you can put
whatever you want), based on the 'caption' package. So, there is no
business with indenting of conditionals in that package.

algorithm.sty (for float management) can be used in combination with
algpseudocode.sty (for typesetting of the algorithms).
