Sigh.  Same versions.  This does not even make sense unless maybe a
different Sumo tarball is involved or otherwise a different version of
the Emacs compatibility packages, or some other package loads
compatibility code.

Or if on the second system the byte code files got recompiled after
installation.  Or if they got recompiled in a different order.

Could you copy&paste the initial section (where the compilation
details are mentioned) of

preview.elc and prv-xemacs.elc

from both installations into mail?
